Medical Sciences

Whether you are a medical student or a graduate student, you will have the opportunity to study in a small college environment under biomedical science researchers with active research programs in neuroscience, molecular biology, biochemical genetics, sleep science and more.

WSU’s growing health sciences campus in Spokane has 1,400 students and offers a variety of opportunities for interdisciplinary and intradisciplinary collaboration and activities. You will share the campus with other WSU students in pharmacy, nursing, nutrition/exercise physiology, speech and hearing sciences, health policy and administration.

In addition, Eastern Washington University students in physical therapy, occupational therapy, dental hygiene and communication disorders are there, along with University of Washington students in dentistry and the physician’s assistant program.

The campus is located in the growing University District in downtown Spokane, which also includes Gonzaga University and Whitworth University.

Spokane's four hospitals make the city a regional hub for health care and the opportunities for learning from practitioners and collaborating on research projects are numerous.
